Hello,
I had a leather bag full of oil and small metal pellets (meant to be used for slings) that I would throw on the ground to make people trip. I could then set it on fire by throwing an alchemists fire on it.
I had a pouch full of gunpowder attached to a grappling hook. The hook had a 30' thin rope attached to it which was coated in animal fat. It acted like a fuse so I could throw the bundle, light it, and run. I called them grapple bombs.Salt was cheaper but I paid a smith in town an extra 5 gold a pound to have the salt ground down as fine as possible so I could just reach into my belt and throw salt in people's faces, blinding them for 1d3 rounds (this was the dm's call). I actually took quick draw to be able to do this.I took to harvesting various poisons and such in nature whenever we got time between missions. Most of these ended up in what I called 'burlap bombs'. Burlap bombs were a small (6" diameter) sealed burlap bag. Most of the bag was full of a mixture of gunpowder and flour. In the center of this is two glass vials. One has alchemist's fire and the other whatever the substance of the day is. Poison Ivy Oil, Snake Venom, Liquid LSD, whatever. The bombs both blinded the person, caused a small amount of damage and sometimes caused them to inhale or ingest the poison. I kept at least 4 of various types with me.
The constuction of these (and most of my inventory) required lots of ranks in alchemy as well as various other construction and wilderness lore skills. I hardly had ranks elsewhere.I tried to make the character into a pole vaulter but he simply kept failing the strenth checks. I had other cool inventions but I can't remember most of them. I vaguely remember something that allowed him to throw a tar-like mixture at people like spellcaster's so they couldn't cast (unless they had silent spell) but I can't recall what it was made out of or what allowed him to launch or throw it.This character was, of couse, chaotic neutral and a lot of fun to play. A pound of flour flying anyone's face is enough to cramp one's style.So...anyone else got a cool character they'd like to share?
Please help
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
